Aurora, a three-year-old girl from Warwick, Australia, wandered with Max away from their home in the vast family home. The 17-year-old Australian Cattle Dog, deaf and part-blind, ventured with her and never left her side, and is now celebrated as a hero.

It's easy to get lost in the big possessions and that's exactly what happened to the little kid. She was missing for 16 hours when she was found a mile from her home, but she is technically still on her land. Aurora's grandmother, Lisa Bennett, told ABC News that she called while searching for her granddaughter and could call her faintly from afar.

Aurora's grandmother said, "I went up the mountain and when I got to the top the dog came and led me straight to it."
Max stayed with his human sister every 16 hours and never thought of leaving her side. The Queensland Police Department praised Max on Twitter for his loyalty and friendship, and even made the dog an honorary member of the band!

Wonderful, Max is a very good boy who deserves all possible attention and treatment.
