Lizzie and Phantom are now recovering in the koala's outdoor pavilion at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital . They do an amazing job and while Nosy Phantom is around her new environment and loves to explore it, the mother relaxes. We pray that Lizzy will make a full recovery as soon as possible.
The love between a mother and her children is the most powerful force on earth. Animal mothers are united and dedicated to their children in the same way as humans. So no matter what species they belong to, the mother will always be a mother, ready to sacrifice everything for the welfare of her offspring.
Two Australian koalas prove this to be true again.
Two weeks ago, Lizzy and Joy were injured, Phantom, in a car. After the accident, they were rushed to the Wild Australia Zoo hospital. Fortunately, the six-month-old boy suffered no injury, but his mother had to undergo surgery due to collapsed lungs and was traumatized to the face.
During the procedure, the cute baby was unwilling to let go of his mother's side and cling to him. The vet realized that it would be better if they were allowed to stick together and comfort them, because dividing them can easily hurt and cause anxiety.
Thanks to the doctors and the warm hug, the surgery was fine.
