“I’m here to take Higgins home,” Brenden says entering the shelter
Higgins was a long-time resident of The Humane Society of Preble County, but CEO Leslie Renner refused to give up on removing him from there. The dog was also unwilling to surrender.
Higgins originally came to the shelter as a puppy and was immediately adopted and no one came looking for him.
The dog was now one year old and people passed it on to younger puppies. She also kept a worried expression on her face, which some people might find terrifying. Higgins has been constantly ignored.
But after 2,381 days at The shelter later, Brendan Reed, arrived who said, "I am here to take my friend Higgins home." They couldn't believe it.
The 22-year-old got his first home and wanted a partner. When he saw the photo of Higgins and heard his story, he had to go over there and get her. Good job fella
Higgins now sleeps on a sofa and plays in his backyard after six and a half years. It lives life like any other happy pet, that's all she deserves
Higgins is very happy because he finally has a house and a father that he loves. The waiting time is over.
