The Bristol Police Department of Rhode Island recently hosted a swearing-in party for the newest member of the team, Brody, the new K9 puppy! But the little guy couldn't help but take a nap all the time.
The department decided to bring a therapy dog to increase strength, and although the timing was poor because it couldn't be with many people due to social distancing, it happened when people seemed to need it most.
"People are really tired, especially in law enforcement," said Constable Brody Director Keith Medeiros Luddu. told The Dodo. "As soon as you walk into the police station with Brody, people instantly smile, and they instantly find themselves in a better place. They want to caress him, hug him, and that's really good."
The Police Department posted a video of the ceremony on Facebook showing a little Brody resting and committed suicide by himself. You could say that the therapy dog really does a great job of cheering people on!
