Tamara Johnston stopped at a local grocery store for a cold drink when she spotted a little puppy on the road. The two-month-old puppy was severely malnourished and dehydrated, covered with fleas and ticks. He had no owner and wandered around in search of eating whatever he could find.
There are many street dogs in Thailand in need of rescue, and Tamara has learned that she needs to help this dog. I named him Basil and took him to the car. When he arrived, he put his head on her lap and walked away just worried.
"I honestly think it made him a lot easier. It was almost as if he knew someone was going to help him. He didn't move, he just gave up on my lap and slept. She said she knew she was safe . "
At the vet, Basil was given fluid and medication to help him feel better. He broke away from his shell and behaved well. Basel will spend a few more days at the vet before living with Tamara as an incubator.
Three months later, Basil found his home forever in the UK! He has turned into a beautiful and beautiful dog and is now in new care with his new mother.
