Woman Captures A Colorful Yellow Pink Moth And A Friend Outside Her Deck

This moth exists in nature and it’s ON MY DECK

Rebecca Lavoie took to Twitter after seeing the prettiest colorful butterfly right outside her home. She did not know the existence of such a thing, and she did not believe her eyes! I took a picture of the yellow and pink cartoon-like insect for all to see.

The pink maple moth is native to North America from southern Canada to Florida and as far west as Texas and can be seen during the spring. They tend to take maples, but they can also be found in oak trees.

You might consider yourself lucky to see one yourself, but later that day, Rebecca manages to see another!

“Update: Now there are TWO of them!”

Updated with a Twitter post that says moth has brought a friend, and it looks like he's really enjoying hanging out on his rooftop! While most people aren't very fond of insects, this is definitely a sight worth seeing.
